I use Finale v26.2 on a Mac computer. I recently bought an iPad Pro 3rd Generation and Bluetooth keyboard for other work that I do. I know there is no Finale iPad app for iOS. However, if I installed v26.2 on the iPad Pro would it work the way it does on my Mac?

No. Software is designed to 'call on' the Operating System to create windows, draw graphics, etc. Mac software needs to run on MacOS, which has different commands from iOS for iPad. Your iPad would not understand what Finale was asking it.

Also, the iPad can only run apps that come from the App Store. No other apps are allowed to work.

Consider using Sidecar:

If you also have a supported Mac computer, you can use your iPad as a second screen. Won't be good for "Finale-on-the-go," but it could be useful or interesting. Haven't tried it myself, though, because my computer doesn't support the feature.

Or Notion for iOS. You can output as XML and import into Finale when you get back to your computer.
