I had to uncheck "Enable Playback" in the Chord menu.
P.S. : I couldn't avoid noticing a few transcription errors :
• Meas 11 : right hand B, not D (1st note)
• 12 : RH end of bar
• 17 : RH tie to F
• 18 : LH : E, not G
• 22 : RH : A, C#, not A#, C
• 28 : LH : last notes : should be D and E, not C# and D
• 34 : RH : last 16th note : B, not D
• 37 : RH : E, not F# on beat 2 / LH wrong
• 40 : RH : D natural (courtesy)
• 44 : RH : tie to E
• 52 : idem
(Just to help you)

To end the playback mid-measure (in Measure 20) you need to, at the end point add a text repeat that stops the playback.desolation_path wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 9:40 am… I am doing the Tico-tico no fubá score but I have difficulties to end in the correct point …
Often the repeat text Fine is used.
But the Fine does not have to display.
If you hide the Fine, it will not print.
By The Way:
There are many transcription errors in your Finale document.
Example: Meas 8, treble clef staff - rhythm error.
To notate Meas 8 as in the YouTube video I would use Layers.
By The Way:
Here is another version of “Tico-tico no fubá”.
It is worth listening to, for picking up the “Zequinha Abreu style”:

Indeed, measure 8 was omitted in my list.

First of all many thanks for the corrections.
I've fixed the transcription errors and spacing, sorry for that, this is my first Finale score. Now its shape is like the Paul Barton's score.
I've tried but I can not set the end using the “Fine” text and slow the tempo in the end as I listen in the video. There is a double bar that I can not put. Also I can not put the slur in a separate layer.
I've upload again the file. Please, Can you fix that errors and attach the file?.
Thanks again.

The rhythm in Meas 8, RH, is still not corrected.
Same problem in Meas 16.
I would use layers.
Meas 22, RH, missing tie. Compare Meas 30.
Meas 23, RH, missing tie. Compare Meas 31.
Meas 24, do.
Meas 25, do.
Meas 36, RH, second F# > E.
Actually, you did have the (mid-measure 21) double barline in the first (un-corrected) version you attached.
To get that double barline:
Selection Tool.
Drag-select the partial measure to the point where you need the double barline.
Plug-ins menu > Measures > Split Measure…
You are talking about having the slur in another layer than the notes the slur is attached to, right?
Why?
Normally there is no reason to do that.
What measure are you talking about?

Fixed, thanks for letting me know.Meas 22, RH, missing tie. Compare Meas 30.

Meas 36, RH, second F# > E
About the double bar I do not know to divide the two blocks of notes without cut one of them. I mean appears a blank space between two sections of the double bar. Also I do not know how to manage the repeats with the new bars.
Is that possible to attach the file?.
I am in a step before finish it. The score stops on the second repetition but do not play all notes to end.
The reason why I am transcribing that score is for homework of the music lessons.

See the attached graphic.
Do no forget to correct Meas 16, too.
You may prefer to shorten the stems in Layer 2.
To do so:
Special Tools Tool.
Sub-tool Beam Angle Tool.
Adjust the left beam handle.
I am not sure what you are talking about - the beaming? - the music spacing?desolation_path wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 4:28 am… About the double bar I do not know to divide the two blocks of notes without cut one of them. I mean appears a blank space between two sections of the double bar …
One thing to try:
Document Options - Music Spacing
In the pop up menu Manual Positioning, choose Clear.
Then, apply Music Spacing, and Update Layout.
1) The first ending should play on Pass 1 and on Pass 3desolation_path wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 4:28 am… I do not know how to manage the repeats with the new bars … The score stops on the second repetition but do not play all notes to end …
2) The Fin should stop on Pass 2, not on Pass 3 (this ending is to be played only twice)
Then do as michelp says:desolation_path wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 4:28 am… The reason why I am transcribing that score is for homework of the music lessons …
Chord Tool.
Chord menu > Enable Chord Playback (de-select this!!)

Thank you very much for all.
However, I've followed the steps and the "Fin." repeats twice if I put 3. If I put 2 it stops on the first repetition. I attached the file.
And the decrescendo at the end?.

The playback in the YouTube video repeats twice, but that is incorrect.
Do you need playback according to the notation (= correct playback), or playback as in the video (= incorrect playback)?
I am not sure I understand.
There is no diminuendo in the notation; all repeats should end in forte.
Also, the video playback ends all repeats in forte.
By The Way:
The music notation in the video has an error in Meas 55 (= 1. Volta).
The last two RH 16ths should be A, Ab - just like all the other times (= M. 39, 41, 49).

The homework consists in reproduce the video but personally I am interested to learn the right way.Do you need playback according to the notation (= correct playback), or playback as in the video (= incorrect playback)?
Sorry, I did not explain it correctly. I mean when the final comes the tempo disminishes the speed.I am not sure I understand.

Does it means that this is an error of the video notation?.By The Way:

Thanks a lot, I am learning so much things.

Measure 36 : LH should be corrected, too.

For playback as in the video, set the Fin to stop on Pass 3, and edit the first ending so that it plays on Pass 1, Pass 3 and Pass 4.
Add an expression with a rallentando.desolation_path wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 1:34 pm… I mean when the final comes the tempo disminishes the speed …
Edit the expression so that it only plays on the last pass.

I follow these instructions:Add an expression with a rallentando.
Edit the expression so that it only plays on the last pass.
https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Fin ... tando3.htm
But I do not know which is the last pass.
Please, Can you help me?.
No hurry , take your time.

That depends on the repeat playback route.
See my previous post.
If you choose correct playback, then the last pass is Pass 2.
If you choose playback as in the video, then the last is pass 3.

You are right.
I was thinking of the First Ending.
Two ideas:
1) Human Playback interprets the rallentando.
To increase the effect, set a lower final tempo (= use an expression) at the end of the rallentando.
2) Instead of letting Human Playback interpret the rallentando, set a Playback effect for the rallentando expression.
The option {Execute Shape} lets you control the rallentando (but this is not for “Finale beginners”).
Read about it in the manual.

I think for today is enough, XD.Instead of letting Human Playback interpret the rallentando, set a Playback effect for the rallentando expression.

I appreciate a lot your help Peter, and also would like to thank michelp.
