How do I get abbreviated staff names to show?

I'm working on developing a default file so I can take MIDI files and make them into usable Finale v26 files.
For some reason, my default file shows the abbreviated staff names on second and subsequent pages but when I use that file to open a MIDI file, there are no staff names at all on those subsequent pages.
I have searched and searched and cannot figure out how to make this happen. Thank you in advance for your help!

The import probably creates a file, not using your template at all.
If it is the case, copy the contents of this file and paste it into your template.

Actually, it is using my default file because every other adjustment I've made is reflected in the new files I've been making from MIDI files. Does this help narrow things down?

If it uses your default file, you may have to modify it if you want the midi file to get imported into it.
If you don't want to alter the default file, the suggestion of copying and pasting seems to be a solution.

But if every other modification I've made to my default file has been implemented, where is the "switch" that is causing it to not show the abbreviated staff names on the second and later pages? There's gotta be one in here someplace. Thanks again!

Wait . . . I think your second point is where the trouble is. Why does that not hold when I open a MIDI file with the default file?
