I have written the sheet music for my song in Finale. I have also imported the mp3 file of my song into Finale. I want to synchronize these two files, so that Finale plays the sheet music but use (plays) the music from the mp3 file.
Can anyone tell my how to do this?

An aiff or wav file seems to be accepted by Finale, not always a mp3. My experience.
Import the audio file via the Midi/Audio menu -> Audio Track -> Add Audio Track -> Load Audio file
(Audio attributes allows positioning of the audio file)
If the audio file was recorded with a click, find its tempo and use it in Finale.
If the tempo is less stable, in Studio View, listen to the audio and use TempoTap to "teach" Finale where the beats are supposed to fall.

Additionally, there may be wandering of the tempo if you have HP turned on. So, turn it off. Since you are using the mp3 for the playback sound, then solo the Audio track so that the Finale notation doesn't play. generally, there will be misalignment of the audio track and the written notes.
