Finale User Manual wrote:Once you’ve created one complete usage of the pedal, as you’ve just done, you don’t have to create it again in other measures that should contain a similar pedaling pattern. You can simply copy the pedaling from measure 1 into other measures.

What are the steps for (1) copying the pedaling in measure one, and (2) pasting it into the following measures? I've tried selecting by dragging over the black areas, copy, and then mark where I want it to be pasted. It didn't work.

After a couple of rounds with the Finale Help Center and searches in the manual, I finally found the solution myself.

In the Edit Filter I only select Continous data. Then I can use the Selection Tool to select the measures already containing the Hold data, copy and choose where to paste it. It's best to do this in Scroll View. In Page View it's impossible to reach the measures at the bottom of the page if you need to use the MIDI Tool Window (as in the picture in my previous post), that is if the data there must be different from the one in previous measures, and therefore have to be edited separately, not pasted.
