Hi everybody,
I’m not completely new to Finale since I used it ten years ago to write piano music with the free version. I made the leap a few days ago to be able to enjoy the full version. And I’m glad I did it, this software is superb. So congrats to the finale team.

I’m writing my studies on numeric support with finale, but I’m encountering several difficulties. For today, I’m trying to put a rest under a note and finale doesn’t allow me to do so. To be more clear, I’ve attached a score from Schubert so you see exactly what I’m trying to do.

Thanks for your help.
Mat

If you're familiar with layers, then you will know what to do. If not, then you might need to read up on it in the Documentation. Put the whole notes in Layer 1, and the rest and 8th notes in Layer 2.
