HI

when I updated my Finale version to v26 I got a copy of Aria player. I opened it but I just do not understand this.

1) I cannot shrink the window on my laptop so I can never see the whole thing. I think I see a hint of a piano at the bottom but if there are any buttons below that I will never know. I do have a digital audio workstation but Finale is on my office laptop for a number of reasons.

As far as I can tell Aria player is
a) totally unnecessary to have
b) going to erase my garritan instruments if I try to delete it
c) intended for using with digital audio sequencer
d) all of the above.

So for me is it just bloatware or is there a lot of functionality I have yet to discover with using it with finale on my non-DAW laptop?

As I'm able to get all of garritan instruments in the score manager window by default without having to open Aria player, it seems hard to justify having it on the computer.

You have to have both the Aria Player and Aria Engine to used Garritan Instruments. I don't know why your player is displayed strangely.

ARIA Player is both a plug-in that works with Finale to play the Garritan sounds, and a standalone app, so that you can play the sounds from a MIDI keyboard, or from the keyboard on the app itself.

The standalone application takes about 5MB of space.

Sounds like you just need to move the window onto your screen.
