1st and 2nd endings numbers

Post by JohnJSherry » Wed Aug 26, 2020 6:44 am

Hello again,
I've put in the endings but the numbers 1 and 2 are right on top of the chord symbols making for a mess...

BTW, this is in the tab score, they're positioned just fine above the regular score.

When you are in the Repeat Tool, you can select the handles, and nudge them up.
You may also have to nudge up the repeat bracket(s).

Thanks! When I selected them and nudged them up, they changed colors. I think they became a different layer but it worked when I made a pdf.

Not a different layer. The change in color usually means it is unlinked between Score and Part.

I thought the color change meant it had been moved from its default position.

That's correct. When you're in a part and make a change in the placement of the ending bracket or number, it unlinks from the score. When that happens, the color changes. If you go back to the score, you'll now see that the color there has also changed. This confirms that the score and part are unlinked in regard to the position of the ending elements. They can be relinked, if desired.
