I have BBC Discovery VST plug-ins and have been unable to use it with Finale (2014.5). I have put the pathway in the search box for VST's but it does not show up. I have GPSO and it shows up in Aria.
How do I get BBC Discovery to play in Finale?
Thank you
Trying to install BBCSO VST but Finale 2014 does not read it.

Thanks, that was going to be my next step. I will reach out to Spitfire and Finale developers.

I don't have any tips for you other than to say it works for me. But my setup is different from yours. I'm on a Mac and I'm using Finale 26. I've uninstalled Finale 14.5. I've installed the full version of BBCSO, not the Discovery version.
I installed BBCSO on an external SSD drive. Finale scanned for it and found it, now it shows up in my list of choices.
Be forewarned, it might not work as well for you as Garritan does. I don't know how the keyswitches are assigned, if they're different than Garritan then you might have to program them yourself. In addition, you can only use 8 instruments at one time. With Garritan you load Aria into one of the 8 midi banks, and you can load 16 instruments in that one bank alone. Use another bank, add another 16 instruments. And so on.
With the Spitfire player you can only load 1 instrument per bank. 8 banks means 8 maximum instruments.
There are ways around that by using Vienna Ensemble Pro, but that's another issue altogether.
Bottom line, while the Spitfire sounds are great, I find it too cumbersome to use with Finale. I use it in a DAW.

I think Spitfire only uses VST3 plug-ins, which Finale doesn't support. On the Mac, they use Audio Units, which Finale does support.

Just a guess but…
If it’s a 64 bit only VST, then Finale 2014 and earlier will not be able to read it.
JBridge may be able to help.
