I want to merge measure 7 with measure 1 with the merge measures plug-in. How do I select only those two measures?

You can’t. Finale can only select contiguous measures.

If it’s only one or two spots, just type them in. If you need to do a lot of it, you can work with a scratch staff to (for example) paste the A measure, and change it to layer two. Then, use Show Active Layer to hide the Layer one notes in measure B, and paste the notes from A into it.

If you post a document showing what you are doing, we may be able to explain it, better.

Okay, thanks!

Yes of course! Didn't come to think of the Show Active Layer option. That's the best method. 😊
