Wrong playback on articulation

Hi Everyone,
I am using Finale 26.3.1 (Mac) and am having a problem with human playback on one particular articulation.
Using a guitar string marking (circled number 4), when using human playback, a trill is played, even though I have "none" selected on the playback effect of the articulation designer. The other numbers of guitar string markings do not trigger a trill playback. Any ideas as to how deactivate this annoying trill on human playback?

It will be best if you post the offending doc. Even a few measures showing this behavior will be sufficient.

Human Playback looks at the font character’s slot number.

In the Maestro font the trill character is located in font slot #217.
When Human Playback finds a “font character” articulation with a font character from slot #217, HP will play a trill, no matter the actual font being used.

Another example:
In slot #77 (where a text font has uppercase M) the Maestro font has the mordent character.
When Human Playback finds a “font character” articulation with font character from slot #77, HP will play a mordent, no matter the actual font being used.
An uppercase M from a text font (any font), too, will cause HP to play a mordent.

I suppose that the guitar string marking (circled number 4) is a character in a font - right? (in what font?)
In which slot is this {circled number 4} located? - perhaps in slot #217?

I suppose that you still need Human Playback play actual trills - right?
This means that playback without HP is not a solution - right?

To prevent that the articulation with {circled number 4} activates HP you can create the articulation as a {shape} articulation, instead of a {font character} articulation.
HP does not examine text blocks in shapes (created in the Shape Designer).

Thanks for responding so quickly.
Here is the articulation in slot #109.

HP recognizes slot 109 as a short trill. That's why you're getting that response. One workaround is to create a shape expression. HP doesn't consider those for playback.

Thanks. Could I also duplicate it and place it in another slot that has no playback pre-programmed into it?

If you can find another font that has numbers in slots not needed for HP, that could work. Unless you know how to edit a font, you can't move the slot of that number.

Upon further looking, the Wingdings 2 font also has the number 4 in a circle in slot 360. Try that.

In my articulations, that circled 4 is in slot 335, and it also triggers a trill when using HP.

In Wingdings 2, slot 360 doesn't trigger a trill.

Can I duplicate and paste the circled 4 into slot 360?

It doesn't work that way. Those slots are fixed in the font. If you have the knowledge and permission to edit a font, then give it a go. Those who know how to do that can advise you here. Otherwise, look at my demo. In the first set of articulations, 4 misbehaves. In the second set, it doesn't. That's because it is now using slot 360.
