Yes.
Those are the symbols for One-Bar Repeat and Two-Bar Repeat.
If your document was created from the Default File, then you will find that it contains ready made staff styles for One-Bar Repeat and Two-Bar Repeat.
If your document was created from an empty Document Without Libraries, then you will have to
- load a library with the two staff styles
or
- create the staff styles yourself.

To make the one or two bar repeat play back, you have to enter the notes into the measure before applying the staff style.

Indeed you could just copy the notes over and over again until all the measures are filled.
But the staff styles One-Bar Repeat and Two-Bar Repeat are more space saving (= a more compact layout).
Most performers understand the symbols for One-Bar Repeat and Two-Bar Repeat.
