Enter the notes in different layers. It's a basic function within Finale and is covered in the Quick Start videos under the "I Want To..." heading.

ok thanks
the problem is that i'm using all the possible layers 4 in total
so i don't have any layers left to do that
i heard that there is a workaround to use more than 4 layers , but i don't know how to do it
can you help me on that?

Each layer can have 2 "Voices", check the manual.

Keep in mind that V1 and V2 are only available in Speedy Entry.

It's possible to do with two layers and no voice 2 by using tuplets (number and shape hidden) for the C half note and D dotted quarter. "Avoid collisions with unisons = None" didn't seem to work so I had to use the Note Position tool. Won't play back exactly right, though.

I did it all with Voices. No Layers needed.

i didn't know that voices thing
so now i'm ready to make many voices within the scores
i thought that layers was the only way to get multiple voices
thanks y'all
