Hi everyone.

When i try to recording with hyperscribe, i've some problems if i change the time signature. When i play with 4/4 and clik is 80 to the quarter note all is ok. But if i change to 12/8, the time signature i want, it dosn't work. the click change his beat although I do not change the time. why???

i'm changing just the time signature not the beat!

Someone can help me?

Thank you so much.

Hyperscribe menu -> Beat Source -> Playback and/or Click -> "Beat equals : " should allow you to change the beat of the click (to a dotted quarter, maybe, if I understand your question).

I'm having trouble understanding your postings, but 12/8 with count-off works for me.

When you change the time signature to 4/4, does the beat of the cilck remains the same?

I would try a simple experiment: write a bar of 4/4 followed by a bar of 12/8 (or vice-versa), start up hyperscribe, and see if the clicks change. My guess would be no; you'd have to do them separately and change the setting in between, but I could be wrong.

If your music switches back and forth a lot, your other option would be to play in everything in 4/4, using triplets where needed, then convert to compound meter after the fact.
