Hello, I was messing around the the flag options through document options and now simple note entry is entering quarter notes on an eighth note. If I enter more than two of these eighth notes without flags it beams indicating it knows that they are eighth notes. My professor doesn't know what to do he is also not that helpful and I definitely do not want to start over. :x

Welcome to the forum!

I am sure you understand, that Document Options are document specific - not program specific.

From what template was your Finale document created?
You have not given us much information about the Finale document, so I can only give some general advice.

I would examine the document settings in the original template (that your Finale document was created from), and then use the very same settings in the “flagless” Finale document.

That should bring the flags back - if you have not been messing around with any other options than the flag options.

… What is EVPU? …
The letters EVPU are short for Enigma Virtual Page Unit.
1 Point = 4 EVPUs

And being such small units, EVPUs allow much finer adjustments.

If you type in inches, centimeters, points, etc., you can use fractions, but they're converted to EVPUs internally and rounded to the nearest EVPU if necessary.
