Hello
I'm creating a lead sheet and I would like to put the song form section letter (AABA, AABC...) at the beginning of each section. I've searched the manual and the forum but can't see a way to do this. I thought I remembered doing it in the past (several years) with Finale but It's possible that I did it in another music program that I have (like BiaB). If I can I would like to do it in finale and keep all my editing in one app. If it's not possible to do it in Finale I'll just have to pencil it in on each copy.
Thanks
David

You are using PrintMusic - right?
By your words ‘lead sheet’ you mean a one-staff document - right?
You need the ‘form letter’ to move with the measure as the layout is adjusted - right?
One way to do it:
Text Tool.
Switch to Scroll View, and double-click inside the staff, to add a text block.
Type the text (letter).
Adjust the text block’s positioning, by dragging the text block handle (or by typing numbers in the dialog box Frame Attributes: Select the handle, and hit Shift-Return).
Since you are entering the text block from Scroll View, the text block will automatically be measure attached (not page attached).
Another way:
Expression Tool.
Enter the letter as an expression.
Expressions are never page attached (always music attached).

Not for this project as there is no adjusting to be done. You need the ‘form letter’ to move with the measure as the layout is adjusted - right?

Text Tool.
