I can't seem to get the chord suffixes to be in a larger size. I'm using Jazz font (have also tried Jazz Text and Jazz Cord).

The chords are in Jazz font size 24 and I'm trying to get the suffixes to match. But the suffixes are tiny. I'm trying to change them using the Change Chord Suffix Fonts dialog.

The funny thing is, when I type in the suffix into the score, it looks perfect. Then when I hit enter, it reverts to tiny.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

jeff_nc,

I suggest that you here in the thread attach a (small) Finale sample document with the problem.

Then, I am confident that the gurus can examine the document, and find the culprit.

You can safely delete all the notes from the document.
We only need to examine the chord suffixes.

Strangely, I couldn't get the menu command "Change Chord Suffix Font" to change their size.
Your suffixes are a mix of acceptable sizes (dim, half dim, triangle, - for minor) and tiny numbers (6, 7, 9 b9#5).
You could edit the suffixes that include these numbers to increase their size one by one...(at first sight, I only see 5 suffixes to correct : 7, 6, -7, 9 and 7 b9#5).

P.S. : 1) Document Options -> Fonts -> Chord -> Suffixes * won't work, because it only affects newly created suffixes.
But in that window, you could fine tune the Root (= "Symbol") and Alteration (attached to the root).
2) In Document Options -> Chords, you can also fine tune the baseline of that alteration.

Yes, that file turned weird, I don't know how.

I ended up taking another file where the chords looked good and copying that one and editing it. Thanks for your help.
