Hello all,
I'm trying to make my stave look like the following in the picture, but I can't seem to make the 8th notes to come apart (I don't know how to explain it, I will just post the pictures).
Could anyone suggest how to do this?
Thanks,

Manually, type / on the A (in Speedy)
Globally on a document, Document Options -> Beaming, uncheck the box that says "Beam 3 eighth notes before/after eighth rest".
This will work for future entries. To correct existing entries, use Utilities -> Rebeam -> Rebeam Music.

In Simple, you don’t just put the cursor on the note. You have to select the note (by double-clicking) and then you tap the / key.
