I realized that after my intro, the rest of my orchestral song is all one beat off. The instruments come in on the 2 instead of the 1 where they should be. Is there an easy way to move the entire piece one beat left?

If I understand you correctly, you have a one-beat rest separating the intro and the remaining music - right?

And you want to delete that rest, to move the music one beat to the left - right?

Without seeing the actual Finale document it can be difficult to suggest the best solution.

But try this:

Selection Tool.

Select the region you want to move.

Drag the selected one beat to the left.

Yes that's exactly right. a little quarter note rest got in there and now everything following that rest is one beat later than Id like it to be. I tried highlighting and dragging with the arrow key but it wont let me drag.

By “arrow key,” do you mean the Selection tool?

Do you click and hold the mouse button down as you try to drag?

Try it in another document, with just a couple of measures, to be sure you have the procedure correct.
