Document/Manage Parts/Create Part.

Add the staves you want, then create the group from within the part.

I don't know how to create a group from the part. And that group is already in the score. Is it possible to generate one part from that group?

I don't think so. To add a group in the part, go to the Staff tool and pick Group and Bracket/Add from the Staff menu.

There is a solution, but it may not be worth the time it takes.

My guess is that you have tried this:

Document menu > Manage Parts…

In the window Manage Parts, click the button {New Part…}.
The window will expand to the right, and show two columns.
The rightmost column shows the Available Instruments.

My guess is that the group “already in the score” does not show up in the column af Available Instruments - right?
This is because one or more of the staves in the group have a Full Staff Name.

If you delete the Full Staff Names from those staves (so that no staff in the group has a Full Staff Name), then the group will show up in the column af Available Instruments.
And you can generate a part from the entire group.
When you are done, you can add the Full Staff Names back.

Cool trick! It can be handy with large groups of percussion single line instruments where instruments change on the same line, as was my case. Thanks!
