I'm writing my first piece on finale and when I go to look at the individual parts, the staff size changes about halfway through each part (and in a different spot on every one of them). Everything looks normal on the score, though. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can make it so that the staff remains the same size on each of my part?

I tried using the resize tool and that didn't work, although I may be using it incorrectly...

My first guess is that you have not set the default formatting for new {systems / pages} as you need the formatting to be.

When creating new {systems / pages}, Finale uses the default settings:

Document menu > Page Format > Parts…

Change the default settings to what you need.

NB:
Changing the default formatting for new {systems / pages} does not affect already existing {systems / pages}.

To update the already existing {systems / pages} with the new settings:
- You must be viewing the relevant part (Document menu > Edit Part > …) when doing the following:

Page Layout Tool.
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > …

Alternatively you can also generate linked parts again, but generating parts will erase the layout work you already have done in the linked parts.

The "redefine pages" did the trick. Thank you so much.
