change staff attributes for one measure only

I'm making a chord chart and using slash notation. However, I'd like to put the lead in melody in the first measure. I can only seem to change staff attributes for the entire chart. How can I change just one measure to allow me to notate?

Thank you for responding. I'm not sure what you mean. My question is how to make staff style changes to one particular measure. My entire document is set to alternate slash notation style. I want to change just one of the measures to a different style. If, using the staff tool, I select that particular measure and then go the drop down menu and select "edit staff attributes" and change the attributes to something other than alternate slash notation it changes the entire documents staff attributes. Sorry for being dense here but that's why I posted in the beginners section.

If you've created slash notation by applying a staff style, select that one measure with the Staff tool, right-click, and pick "Clear staff styles." If instead you've achieved slash notation by altering the staff attributes, you'll need to define a new staff style that reverts to normal notation and then apply it to that measure.

Staff Styles are local, Staff Attributes are global.
Staff tool -> Define staff style (or Apply...an existing one)
