Hi all,

I am interested to switch from Sibelius to Finale. I saw a lot of wonderfull feature than my Sibelius don't offer, such as an easy tuplets tool and so more.

I just need know something about Finale before making the big step.

Does Finale play pizz just by entering "pizz" on the stave?

Does it play trills, tremolos and articulation?

Thank you,

Michelancello

Finale has a feature called Human Playback (developed by Robert Piéchaud).
Human Playback understands and interprets virtually every aspect of the score, including articulations, expressions, hairpins, and other markings.

So, yes, Human Playback plays trills, tremolos and articulations.
However, it's not simply a matter of entering the trill symbol &c.
You should also tell Finale to "use Human PLayback".

Pizzicato playback is a little more complicated, since it involves the changing of playback sound.
You can get pizzicato playback, but it takes a little more than merely writing "pizz".

Actually, Human Playback will make pizzicato markings play back correctly with no extra work.
