Hi there
I'm quite new to Finale, though I find it's very easy to get around. One thing that really annoys me though is when I want to make PDF's of my .mus files, somehow the Maestro font does not follow onto the PDF file, and as a result I see a lot of small squares where there should have been treble clefs, time signature, flats etc. when I open the converted mus-file in Acrobat. All the regular notes come out fine though(odd). A wierd thing though is that when I click on the converted PDF file in the Finder, I can see that on the preview of the file all the clefs etc. are there, as if the application in Finder that makes previews of any given file, does read Maestro but Acrobat does not. I'm using a Mac with OS 10.3. If anyone have a bend to this conversion, I would gladly apreciate it.
Best regards - NF

It's a Mac OS X font issue.
1. The quick-and-dirty solution:
Open the PDF in Preview, and print to PDF from Preview.
The resulting PDF file will display correctly in Adobe Reader.
2. The slower, but more correct solution:
Go to MakeMusic's website, and download the Macintosh Font Pack.
