You can assign hotkeys as you please for any menu item. Go to the plug-ins menu >> TGTools >> Menu Shortcuts. It's easy from there.Struggler06 wrote:Is there a hotkey to start and stop playback?

The Playback menu command is in the MIDI menu - set it up to whatever shortcut you want.

With the Spacebar you can Start and Pause the playback.
You can only Stop the playback by clicking.
And what's the difference between Pause and Stop?
Pause will pause the current playback.
If you want to change something, and then hear what you changed in playback, you must Stop the playback.
If you Pause the playback, and change something, you will not hear what you changed, when you resume playback.
However, it matters whether the window Playback Controls is open or not (to open Playback Controls, go to the Window menu).
With the Playback Controls open, hit Spacebar to Start playback.
To pause, hit Spacebar again.
To stop, click the Stop button.
The window Playback Controls gives you many options (e. g. Scrolling Playback) that are not available, when Playback Controls is closed.
With the Playback Controls closed, hold down the Spacebar, and click the score where you want the playback to start.
There are various options for starting playback - each option with a specific hotkey.
For a complete survey of the hotkeys, read the PDF document Playback.pdf - the list of hotkeys is on page 30.
To stop playback, click.
You can't pause when the Playback Controls window is closed.

The space bar for stop/pause is Mac only. He can however define shortcuts for both starting and stopping playback.Peter Thomsen wrote:With the Spacebar you can Start and Pause the playback.

Space bar clicking a measure is however cross-platform.
