Courtesy accidentals with parentheses (Finale 2008)

Hello, forum. I have learned how to put in courtesy accidentals, thanks to the user manual. The instructions are for Speedy Entry, and I know that I am to click on the note and then hit the * key. However, when I do this, the courtesy accidental shows up without any parenthese around it.

I tried the plug-ins option, but when I type instructions in that box, it seems to automatically put courtesy accidentals throughout the entire score. I only want them in a handful of measures here and there.

Does anybody know how I can select a particular for a courtesy accidental with parentheses?

In speedy, * hides or shows the accidental but has nothing to do with parentheses. Try letter P instead.
