I need to mose all notes of a stave (or only a set of notes in the stave) down (or up). I saw that I could move note one by one with the Speedy Entry Tool. But, using this way, it will take me a long time just to move every note of the stave.

So, is there a way to move horizontally all the note of a stave (or a set of selected notes) ?

Thanks...

I suppose that you want to move the notes vertically (transpose) rather than horizontally (in time)?

What version of Finale are you using?

In Finale 2008 you can select a region with the Selection Tool, and go to
Utilities menu > Transpose...
The dialog box Transposition appears.

In Finale 2007 and earlier you can select a region with the Mass Edit Tool, and go to
Mass Edit menu > Transpose...
The dialog box Transposition appears.

For faster work you can program transposition metatools on the number keys 6 - 7 - 8 - 9:
Hold down Shift and the number key, and the Transposition dialog box appears.
Choose your transposition, and click OK.

Idea for programmed transpositions:

9: Octave up
8: Octave down
7: Scale step up
6: Scale step down

To use a transposition metatool, select the region, and hit the number key.
