Blue Triangle on Staves

I am trying to compose a four part orchestration. A blue triangle shape keeps appearing on the page (bottom part). It pivots on the double lines at the beginning of the stave, flicking on and off the stave as the cursor performs certain actions. I can't find any references to it and am wondering what its purpose is.

As Far As I Know, it's an issue with Finale and Windows Vista.
The blue triangles are related to the staff group brackets.
You can avoid the triangles by choosing another staff group bracket.

Many thanks for pointing out the cause and for the work around. The problem is just an annoyance really.

This happened when my .ini file was changed.

The BAD lines were :
MIDIEcho=3...change to 4 to work right
and
UseUnlinkedColor=0...change to 1 to work right.

I reinstalled a backup .ini and poof...no more blue triangles!!
