I'm new using Finale and I have a problem.
I don't want to use measures in my score. I could hide the bar lines but I can't write the notes as I want. The program fix the notes in relation with the time signature and I don't want this.
In other way I tried setting the time signature in 100/1, but the width of the measure is not bigger than one line in my staff.

Can somebody help me?

Thank you

Use the "hide barlines and time signatures" method. In that way you can control, exactly how many notes you get in each system.

To enter a note that exceeds across a barline:

In this example let's say that you want to enter a half note on beat 4 in a 4/4 measure:

1. Enter the half note as a tuplet: 2 quarters in the space of 1 quarter.
2. Enter a quarter rest on beat 1 in the next measure. Hide the quarter rest.

This solution will display and space correctly, but it will not play back correctly, since the half note is played "staccato".

If playback is an issue, go to the MIDI Tool, and increase the note's duration to 200 %.
