When workin in scroll view all is ok but when I switch to page view I can see only a 'micro'system and I can't succeed to change it.. (see attachments).

The same when creatin a new string quarte both with the preset document or with the wizard tool...

I have alot of other documents and all is ok... :!:

I'm using the 2008 version.

thank you for helping me,

arfo

It Would Be Nice If we knew the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.

Here's an idea.
You may have tried this already:

Document menu > Page Format > Score...
Make sure that the settings in Page Format for Score are as you want them.
Then switch to the Page Layout Tool, and go to
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Pages of Current Part/Score

Hi Peter,
I simply created a new document with the wizar tool, choosing single strings instruments, nothing more..
The problem occurs even if I open the document without the wizard, and it doesn't occur - on a other hand - if I open a wind quintet...
But I didn't change any document setting...

I tried with your suggestions and here what I got.. I little step but not enough..

Thank you!

maybe the file itself could help you to understand the problem..

Use the Resize Tool (%). Right click on one of the systems. Choose Resize System. In the next box, change the staff height to .3 inches, and Resize the System to 100%. OK.

arfo,
I don't know what caused it, so I can't tell you how to avoid it. But since it's easy to fix, and it doesn't happen on all documents, I wouldn't worry about it, for now.

It was caused by the viola players trying to read alto clef.

Ok. Should you discover the real cause of the problem, please let me know :)
