In Finale 2002 on Windows:
I did not found the symbol 8vb, so i took 8va and changed the symbol into 8vb. My problem is that when the music is played with the playback, the selected notes are transposed an octave up. How do I change this to an octave down?

In the Smart Shape Tool (the icon is a curve), you'll find the 8va, and you can drag the line to the right to cover a region, in which the music plays in the octave above.
If you select the same symbol 8va with the option key pressed on a Mac, it will give you the 8vb, correct playback included.
On PC it could be ctrl or some other key that you should easily find.

Drawing the 8ve under the music automatically creates 8vb, doesn't it? At least, I thought it did ....
