pizzicato is no longer working throughout my piece

I've never had problems with playback reading pizz, but now none of them are working. Help?

And AGAIN, the problem is in Finale 27 but not in Printmaker 2014....

A .wav file from 27 has no pizz, but a .wav file from 14 does have pizz.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but this time it did not solve the problem.

No. The playback and audio file fail to play the marked pizzicato.

Check that Human Playback is on. If so, maybe try a different flavor of it.

The pizz. plays correctly for me, both the SoftSynth and Garritan. Make sure Human Playback is on.

And you're initiating playback playback with the playback controls, as opposed to Shift+click?

Sorry about my ignorance. How did you reach that box? (but I always use playback controls)

In the Playback settings click the "Playback/Record Options" button in the lower right and that will display the window that Motet posted. If you're using the Playback control to initiate playback, click the gear to the right of the tempo box and that will open the Playback Settings.

Found that box, and it looks exactly as it does in motet's image.

Let me ask a more basic question: is there some way that I can "reset" the program to its initial defaults, in case that move resolves the problem?

Try Edit/Preferences, Reset all Preferences

Just reset preferences. At least it played before, even without pizz. Now it won't play. Last time I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling to get it to playback. Should I do that again, or is there a more elegant solution?

Just tried reinstalling. It didn't even help playback, so no idea if it helped with the pizz.

You might try MIDI/Audio/Play through MIDI or Play through VST. I've never quite understood it.

Finale is a dog's breakfast. Maybe you can convert your Finale files to MusicXML and switch to another platform.

I did another full reinstall, and at least playback now works, but pizz still does not.
