Need help with Finale lua script

Finale lua menu organizer - Have you gotten this to work? WHAT AM I MISSING?
I have:

tried both recommended locations for finale_lua_menus.txt and finale_lua_menu_organizer.lua.
edited the .lua file to say "true", following the instructions within the file. This is supposed to generate the menu?
made sure it is the only organizing lua script in my system
My result - the very long Lua plugin menu in Finale looksd exactly the same as without the script.
