How do I insert symbols in Coda text strings.

How do I edit the text of D. S. al CODA to include the symbol for the Segno sign.
D.S. [Segno symbol] al CODA

Also edit
2nd time to CODA to include the coda symbol

2nd time to CODA [coda symbol]

As far as I know, Repeat texts can only use 1 font. Text expressions, on the other hand, allow the use of several fonts in one single expression.
So, I'm afraid you have to use text expressions to get what you want, or a combination of a repeat text with a text expression. At least in this case, you will preserve the playback intructions (jumps, etc...).
Maybe a feature request to send to Finale support via their web site ...

If the symbol is present in your document's text repeat library, you can get the symbol in the text repeat by making the symbol the "target" of the text repeat.

See the attached file (Finale 2010 format).

Note, By The Way, that the symbol must be present in the document's text repeat library, but the symbol doesn't have to be used anywhere in the score.
