Hello -

I am trying to place editorial accidentals in a score, i.e. accidentals in brackets, but am not having luck finding these. I can see how to add cautionary accidentals in parentheses, but not editorial accidentals in brackets.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!
Chris

There are no bracketed accidentals in the music fonts you get with Finale.
But there are bracketed accidentals in the Fughetta font.
URL to the Fughetta font:

You may not like the bracketed accidentals in the Fughetta font, but you can also create the bracketed accidentals yourself - as shapes, created in Finale's Shape Designer.
In the Shape Designer you have a drawing environment that allows you to combine font characters and drawing elements.
If you have used a drawing program before, you will soon understand the Shape Designer.

You can use the {bracketed accidentals} shapes as shape expressions or as shape articulations.
