I always shut Finale down before walking away from the computer, but last night I forgot to. The computer went to hibernate mode, and when I woke it up this morning Finale was in a weird state. The window had the menu bar but the display area where the music should be was black. I tried to close it but it hung. Cycling through the open windows I came across a "save this file?" dialog which worked, but Finale ultimately had to be killed with the task manager.
I've never had this happen with another program in 20 years of Windows use. Can it really be that hard to get right? Has anyone else experienced this?
Finale can't handle Windows hibernate?

Happens to me every now and then on my Win7 laptop. I just assume that Finale is one of those processes that will slowly take over your RAM if you leave it alone too long.
Sort of a spite thing, I guess.
