Zoomed in to 200%, I click on a handle then use the arrow keys on my computer keyboard to precisely adjust the length of a line or SmartShape beam extension, but the ability to do so often stops working. I then must zoom back out to 100%.
Apart from closing the document, exiting Finale then relaunching the document, is there simpler way to restore this function when zoomed in?
Ability to nudge line length stops working

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about the Smart Shape Tool - right?
You did not try simply switching to another Finale tool, and then back to the Smart Shape Tool?
That must be a lot faster than “exiting Finale then relaunching the document”.

The handles can be selected and mouse-dragged but no longer nudged by use of the arrow keys. I tried selecting a number of other tools then back to Smartshape, but the only way I can move a handle is to mouse-drag it or zoom back to 100%. The latter is not accurate in a large ensemble, wherein the staff and notation is reduced in size.
I remember experiencing this issue in v2012c.
I'm hoping a setting exists to eliminate this problem, or maybe someone has found a workaround. I would also find it helpful to learn if the issue is a bug or just peculiar to my system. If nobody else is experiencing the problem I describe, in v26, then maybe I need to re-install the program.
