In Studio View, I added an Audio track. I then try to load an audio file (Audio/Midi -> Load Audio).
The file won't load, causing an error "Finale cannot place this type of audio file" or "Finale cannot open the selected filetype. Please select another file". I converted the test.wav file into test.mp3, test.aiff, without success. Another .mp3 file loads successfully.
What can I do to load the problematic file ? (it is not corrupted, I can listen to it).
What could cause this problem ?
(Finale 26.3.1, MacOs Catalina).

Follow-up for those who encountered a similar problem.
I found out that apparently, only .mp3 files will load (Mac).
Now, a specific mp3 refused to load. It was exported in Amadeus Pro from wav to mp3.
I redid the conversion from wav to mp3 in another program (Switch). The new mp3 now loads into Finale (26 & 27).
Go figure.
