Finale 2012 Not Playing Back Time Signature Changes

When I change from 4/4 to cut time or 2/2 or 3/2 playback does not play back in cut time. Would my only option be to change the tempo to double time at those points?

Yes.

The tempo is defined as the tempo of a rhythmic value (e. g. quarter = 120).
In a Finale document with changing time signatures (like e. g. 4/4 and 3/2), the same rhythmic value plays at the same tempo in all the time signatures.

ok, thank you. i doubled the bpm where i wanted cut time, then went back to 4/4 by creating expressions / tempo. i don't know, he he.
