I have been using Finale for many iterations now, and have always had trouble with (de)crescendos attaching themselves to the staff below the one I want, just because of spacing I suppose. This isn't obvious until I view the parts and notice the missing crescendo. Many years ago, I began creating the crescendo "literally" dead center in the staff I wanted it and then dragging it into place. This works fine and isn't really that much of an issue. I'm just wondering if there is a slightly more efficient method I could have been using all of these years?

The little arrow (for those who have a good sight !) confirms the staff attachment.
