Please help!!!

I am using a desktop (iMac with OSX 10.8.4.) OSX is fully turkish and there are a lot of turkish fonts installed.
But when i use Finale 2010b (Registered) i can't write turkish lyrics (there are some specific turkish letters)
I also composed lots of vocal music with turkish lyrics (with same finale and imac before formatting) but Finale 2010 still can't read
turkish letters...

I clicked plug-ins>miscancellous>changefont but there is no turkish fonts in the list..... :(

PLEASE HELP! I AM DESPERATE !!!!!

Finale 2010 is not Unicode compliant. All you can do is look for a font that has your special characters in the first 255 slots, that the Mac can recognize.

Your alternatives are to upgrade to 2012, which will (finally) use Unicode, or use a font editing program to put the characters you need into slots in the font where you can use them.

what do you mean by "first 255 slots" ?
the funny thing is i used this computer, this Mac OSX system and this finale for 3 years with no problem! :(
all i wrote is with this setup. I formatted my desktop and this happened. I can't remember how i solved this problem 3 years ago.
I also try font editing program now...

Think of a large grid. Mac fonts use the first 255 slots in a grid. Unicode fonts might use thousands of of slots. I can't explain why you were able to do this before, unless you had a Turkish font that was set up correctly. Is it possible that you downloaded a special font, sometime in the past?

ok, now i will try all the fonts in finale. there is nothing wrong with macosx. every letter seems to work fine in general but finale...
my problem is, i can't see my previously written lyrics in correct turkish letters, so even if i find a new font or edit one i won't be able to fix my old .mus files... here is a screenshot! :(

It isn't a question with the OS. It's the fault of Finale. That's why I don't understand why you were able to do it, before.

What OS were you using when you were entering the characters?

I opened the PDF in a program called PDF to Music Pro. That showed the font correctly, and identified it as TimesNewRoman PSMT. I looked that up, and it looks like it was an older font. So I downloaded it, and installed it on my system. Even with the turkish keyboard, I can't get it to enter in finale 2010. It works fine in 2012, though.

I think you might want to contact MM tech support. Maybe they can figure out how you did it in 2010.
