Hi all,

I highlight my entire measure stack from measures 75-94. I want these measures deleted from the score, not cleared. I hit delete and it clears the contents of the measures. I go EDIT (or right click) and the "Delete Measure Stack" option is gray (Not allowed.)

I am working on files that I did not create. Any chance there is some sort of "lock" that won;t allow me to do this?

Thanks!

David

Is it possible that there are hidden staves?

Have you tried Clear, first? Can you then select Delete Measure Stack?

FIXED! For some reason, once they're highlighted, you need to double-click again and then they delete.

Weird.

Weird, yes. But as long as it works...

I have the same problem, and mine STILL won't delete! My only solution has been to copy all the remaining measures of the piece and move them back to the empty measures. Time-consuming and very irritating.

There was a recent post that indicated that for certain operations (insert measures for one) the program takes a prolonged period of time to complete the command. Maybe you need to wait a bit (up to a minute?). Get a cup of coffee, pet the dog, do 25 pushups…
