When I try to use speedy entry, notes do not enter, and the cursor goes back one bar within the same system.

I've installed Finale 2014, and I can't get my keyboard to talk to my computer.

How are you connecting the keyboard to the computer? USB? MIDI interface? Does the computer make any indication you've plugged something in when you connect the MIDI keyboard? Does the MIDI keyboard show up at all under MIDI In in MIDI/Audio --> Device Setup --> MIDI Setup?
