problems trying to beam this rhythm

Hi, im doing a lesson for my students on Finale 1014 on windows, and trying to beam rhythms in the way the image below, I just couldnt.
Could you help me on how to do it? Yes, I know its a strange beaming, but I need to do it this way...
The metric is irrelevant (since I will not show it on score) but I preffer to do all this rhythm on only ONE bar, so it will be an 8/4 bar.
Ive tried with Rebeam To Time Signature > Composite... but I could beam only the first beats correctly...

PS. For some reason on this forum the image dont shows complete, please right click on the image to open it on a new window to see the full rhythm.
Really thanks

Enter all the note values exactly as you have them in your one 8/4 bar letting Finale do what ever it likes with the beaming. Then click on the measure with the Speedy Entry Tool and join and break the beams as you wish using the / key. If two notes are beamed and you want to break it, position the cursor on the second note, and the / will beam will break it. If you want to join two, position the cursor on the second note and the / will join the two etc.

That's a very interesting rhythmic palindrome!

Hi John, thanks. Your are a life saver... I allways used the beam to time signature tool and beaming rhythms was a pain for years... I just have to try if your system will work on all bars... but I think it will.
Oh, and thanks for teaching me that PALINDROME word, I didnt know it. In my coutry we say CAPICUA. lol
Thanks!

Indeed this time signature/beaming pattern can be done in Finale.

See the attached Finale 2014 document.

Open the Finale document I attached.

1) Measure Tool.
Double-click the measure.
In the Measure Attributes you will see that the measure is set to, Always Hide the time signature.

1) Time Signature Tool.
Double-click the measure.
Click the button “Composite…”.
You will see that the composite time signature uses multiple characters in one field:

0.5+0.75+1
over
4

plus

0.625+0.75+0.625
over
2

plus

1+0.75
over 4

I hope that this is clear?
If not, ask again.
