I converting from a Jazz chord font to a standard Maestro chord chord font. And I need to be able changing chord suffix superscript (as it is in the jazz font) to standard no superscript for the suffix. Looking high and lo for some kind of setting in the chord or doc settings menu, and haven't found it. (I'm in Finale 2014.5 also)

In the chord suffix editor DBX, there's a choice for "H" (horizontal placement) and "V" (vertical placement). If you want your chord suffixes to have a standard look, make sure the "V" setting is "0" for each character in the suffix.

actually I should have been a tad clearer. Not sure if I'm referring to the suffix. I actually need to lower the flat symbol to the standard font position. In the jazz font the flat sign in a B-flat chord symbol looks like a superscript. In the standard Maestro font, the flat symbol is the same level as the chord letter and that's what I want to do.

The vertical placement control of a flat in a chord symbol is found in:
document options/chords/chord alteration baseline adjustment.
Change the number, press apply until you get what you want.

along those same lines - how to I adjust the height of the number in a chord like an F7. That's a setting I haven't found yet.

In the chord symbol F7 the number ‘7’ is a chord suffix.
You can edit it in the Chord Suffix Editor.
