Can't find Plug-Ins folder

Just saw to my delight that JW plug-ins are available in 64-bit. So I downloaded them all, but I can't for the life of me find the plug-ins folder. I notice that it is also missing from previous versions of finale on this machine (2014 and 2014.5), though I know I had previously installed JW plug-ins.

I recall there being some secret way to unhide this folder? I tried getting there with Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale/Plug-ins - but I'm told there's no such folder.

Go to menu in the Finder, and select Computer.
Then, follow this path :
"Your disk" -> Library -> Application Support -> MakeMusic -> Finale XXXX (or Finale in the case of Finale 25) -> Plug-ins.
After putting the ".bundle" file in that folder (or or a subfolder if you want to create one), relaunch Finale.

P.S. : there is no hidden folder in this case.

Dan,

Finale>Preferences>Folders>Plug-ins should show you the path. Note that it's on the hard drive level, not in your "personal" level.

(Once you've gotten there, you might want to create a shortcut to that folder, and keep it somewhere easy to find. I've done that with both the Plug-ins and Template folders.)

I have Finale 26 on a Mac with MacOS 10.14.3 (Mojave). The following observations about installing JW plug-ins may be of interest to others with similar computer systems and versions of Finale.

1. The path is Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic, not via one's personal Library. (This has been said already in another post, but I thought it worth repeating here.)

2. Under MakeMusic, there is both a Finale folder and a Finale 26 folder. The JW bundles must go into the Finale 26 folder, and within that into the Plug-Ins folder.

As far as contents are concerned, I have just downloaded and installed jwchange64.bundle and jwfitmusic64.bundle. They look very valuable, but to my disappointment there seems to be no 'beaming across barlines' plug-in. (The Patterson Lite one included with Finale creates problems: first of all one has to select only the notes before and immediately after the barline, not the whole group of notes, otherwise attaching dynamics and removing redundant accidentals become impossible. Secondly, resulting notes retain their tails (though not when printed), are greyed out and do not play back.) Does anyone know whether there is a JW plug-in for beaming across barlines?

Right, no JW beam-across-barline. See the other thread you posted in, but the Patterson plug-in works fine if you apply your dynamics and accidentals first. Beaming across the barline should be done last.
