Greetings all!
Please can someone remind me of the keyboard shortcut to toggle between layers 1 and 2 in speedy entry? I used this some time ago, but now it's escaped my memory!
Thanks

On PC, SHIFT+ALT+layer number.
P.S. remember that in the Help menu, there is a link "Keyboard Shortcuts".
This one is mentioned under "General".

Many thanks! That was the shortcut that was eluding me!
I did indeed go to Finale help before seeking help from the Forum members. I didn’t think to look in ‘General’, having found this under ‘Speedy’: Move to next layer = Shift+' (apostrophe). But it didn’t work, possibly because the apostrophe on my UK keyboard is not in the same place as Finale expects.
Grateful thanks for your reminder!

On a Mac in F 25 (and probably earlier), if the Speedy Entry cursor is active, one can change layer by Shift-Up or Down Arrow. However, the usual way of changing layer when in any tool is Option (Alt)-Command-1, 2, 3 or 4 which seems fairly similar to the general way of changing layer on Windows.

On my Mac, I set F5 to layer one, and F6 to layer two. With barbershop, I'm constantly flipping between them.
Can you do something similar in Windows?

Aha! This is certainly possible under TG Tools > Menu shortcuts and I’ve just (easily!) programmed F5 for layer 1 and F6 for layer 2 as you suggest.
So now I have two options – yours could be better than shift > alt > layer number! I’ll run them both side-by-side and see which suits me best.
Many thanks, Mike, for this suggestion!

PS
Although I am grateful to michelp for reminding me of the forgotten keyboard shortcut, I must say that Mike’s method is much easier! I think my productivity has increased greatly this evening! Grateful thanks once again!

Cool! I find it only works using the top row numbers, not the keypad numbers. Still, I am not complaining.
P.S. I did not know about these keyboard shortcuts in the Help menu.
Honk if you love peace and quiet.
