In a simple repeat is there a setting to have Pizz on the first pass and Arco on the repeat?

I'm using Audio Units and Aria Player, and looking to do this on a solo instrument, for instance Cello Solo KS.

Thanks,

The attached file plays back as you want. As I know just enough about playback to be dangerous, I'm not sure these settings are compatible with your playback setup. Look in the Playback tab for the settings on the pizz and arco.

N,

Thanks for that. What I was hoping for was a solo string instrument through Audio Units rather than MIDI as in your example. I thought maybe if I used your settings but switched it to AU it would work, but no such luck.

Like you, I'm not much of a playback person but I got into this as a New Year Challenge to myself since it's too cold to go outside.

Relying on Human Playback in this case leads to disappointment. Therefore, using the Data Dump method in the expression definition for playback is the better option. Look at the attached file. it starts arco, then pizz and back to arco in the repeated section. Study the playback settings for each of the expressions to learn how it is done. Finale changes the numbers entered to get the right result. I actually entered 3, 144, 5, and 127 for pizz and 3, 144, 0, and 127 for arco. These are for the 4 slots in the Data Dump dialogue box.
