Finding the JW Plugin in Finale (JW Copy Part Layout, v1.04)

Hello!

I use Finale 2014 on Mac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5.

I downloaded JW Copy Part Layout, v1.04 and can't seem to find the plugin in Finale. This is my first time at downloading plugins so I don't know where to look for them in the software. When I go under Plug-ins and look through them all, I can't find JW's.

I assume I've put the plugin in the right folder. I looked at many threads and everyone was saying to put it in : Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale2014/Plug-ins but I can't find this folder maybe because I'm on a different Mac version.
So I put the plug-in in the following folder: Applications > Finale 2014 > Contents > Plugins > jwcopypartlayout 2.bundle

I'm working on the layout of a big band chart so this plugin is a MUST.

Thanks to all of those who are willing to help !

Nicole

The place where you put the file is not correct. The first one is and has not changed (Your hard disk/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale2014/Plug-ins).
In the Finder, use the menu Go -> Computer. Then locate your hard disk and follow the described route.

Finale only looks in a certain folder for the plug-ins. If it isn't there it won't find it. In Preferences you can change that folder to one you prefer if you want to.
(Windows, anyway, you can)

.. and you'll need to quit and relaunch Finale for it to load any new plug-ins!

You were right, I had it in the wrong folder the whole time. I see it now. Initially I couldn't find the Library folder because I wasn't looking in the Hard Disk.

Thank you! I really appreciate your help.

And the library folder is hidden by default, as well. It’s an easy mistake ro make. DAMHIKT

The USER Library is hidden by default (which is where Document Styles and Libraries go): the root level Library is not, and that's where the plug-ins normally go.
