How could I write a Trill to a C note, specifying that must be done with the superior note (D) and not with the inferior one (B)?
In the articulation tool table I can find the Trill, and possibly the parenthesis coulkd help to do it, but I am not sure.

I was taught that a trill is with the note above. So, I wouldn't do anything. I would only indicate if it was to be inverted to the note below.

You are right, zuill. Nowdays that's the normal thing, but I think some centuries ago it wasn't always the case and the Trill could be done with the inferior note.zuill wrote:I was taught that a trill is with the note above. I am not quite sure, though. I must go to the books on Theory to see notation in the Baroque period. Maybe it was the same as the interpretation of "mordentes". But I only say "maybe".
